Checking Tread Depth
Most tyres have tread wear indicators, which are usually six or more small ribs across the bottom of the main tread grooves. When the tread surface is level with these ribs, the tyre needs to be replaced. Tread wear indicators are set at 2.0 mm; legal depth l.6 mm; 3 points per tyre if below this.
